I AM THE WAY - Part 1


You are welcome to the Revelation of God’s word. I pray the Holy Spirit will enlighten the eyes of your understanding to His word in JESUS Name.

Our text for today is John 14:6

“I AM THE WAY’ – These are the very words of JESUS declaring His identity. This declaration is a prove that SALVATION is a journey. Life is a journey. 

SALVATION is a journey. This journey is from Sin to Righteousness. This journey is from the past, to the present and to the future. This journey is from the desire of sin to the plans of God for your life. This journey invented your existence.

The first thing I want to bring to your notice is that you are on a journey. Your life and this SALVATION is a journey. Your purpose, vision, calling and divine assignment is all about a journey. Your talent, gifts, creativity and passion are for this journey. You are not a product of accident. You are not a mistake. You were consciously choose by God and carefully created for the journey. The greatest self awareness is you knowing that you are on a journey.

The reality that defines your personal relationship with the Holy Spirit is this journey. The reality that dictates how you study your bible is this Journey. The reality that determines your perception of God is this journey.

Some people see this journey as a game. Some people see this journey as a journey. Some people see the journey as empty and meaningless world. Irrespective of different version of believe – the foundation remain: JESUS is THE WAY.

JESUS said – “I AM THE WAY” – this Revelation is a Journey. The destination this WAY leads to is the FATHER. Who is the FATHER? The FATHER is a living, personality, a lifestyle, a platform, a kingdom, a plan, a vision, a purpose, and the specification of an assignment. The FATHER is God Almighty.

JESUS said “I AM THE WAY” but a lot of people think JESUS came to show THE WAY. It’s wrong. JESUS did not come to show THE WAY, JESUS is THE WAY. JESUS did not come to show us THE WAY, HE came to point us to HIMSELF. JESUS came to show HIMSELF to us as THE WAY.

Every detail of the lifestyle of JESUS while on earth is a pattern you must follow. The word, attitude, and the thinking pattern of JESUS is THE WAY. JESUS lifestyle is THE WAY. The passion of JESUS is THE WAY. All JESUS did was to reveal HIMSELF as a blueprint for us to follow and become.

How do I relate with people? Study how JESUS treated people. How do I forgive? Study how JESUS forgave people. How should I think? Study how JESUS thinks. How should I obey God? Study how JESUS obeyed God. Every thing you must do, think and become must be according to pattern and JESUS is that pattern. JESUS did not come to point us to any one. JESUS came to point us to HIMSELF as the pattern for us to follow. You are on a Journey and in this Journey – JESUS is the only WAY.
